Finally made it to this GEM of a donut shop in Gainesville! Flatfish GNV is a donut shop that specializes in brioche filled donuts and vegan glazed donuts. Only open Friday through Sunday, they offer a limited selection with monthly rotating flavors, so expect lines out the door. Knowing to expect a line, especially during move-in weekend, my family and I got there about 10min before opening at 10am. There was already a line wrapped around the block! We ended up waiting in line for about 50min before ordering. Shortly after we ordered and sat down to enjoy our donuts, one of the owners notified everyone there was a limited selection left and it was likely not everyone would receive donuts. So if you are planning on visiting, just be aware of this! The service was excellent and extremely pleasant. The co-owner serving the donuts was super sweet and personable. This husband and wife team run a tight ship and really do their best to serve everyone to their best ability! The inside is quant, but there are a couple of seating options. We appreciated the nostalgic atmosphere and decor throughout. We got to the counter at the perfect time as they were just about out of the brioche. While

BEST DONUTS IN GAINESVILLE 🍩 They have a variety of donuts and drinks as well that are very tasty and unique. You will have to wake up early and wait in line for around 40 minutes. Donuts sell out by around 11:30 or so.

Best doughnuts in town. It feels like a secret speakeasy and I love telling new people about them when they come to Gainesville. Their quality is the highest I’ve ever experienced. The doughnuts taste like they spent hours on each single one. Get in line before opening and prepare to be amazed. My favorite is the Dagel and tiramisu flavors so far

Cute little spot that features homemade cream-filled brioche donuts. They have a menu that changes every few weeks so make sure to check out their social media to see their flavors. I tried the raspberry cream one and it was good. Not too sweet, and the cream was nice and cold. The donut itself had a good chew to it. The inside is pretty quaint with a few picnic tables and some chairs. I came around 9:30 on a Saturday and they were already almost sold out, so definitely go early. They also have free water inside, which was nice.

Sprint don't run to Flatfish Doughnuts. Heard a ton about them and finally found myself in the area and I stopped by. The shop is not big by any means but felt warm and inviting. Theres a handful of tables for seating but mainly people come in order and leave. The bakery was offering three types of glazed doughnuts (chocolate, salted brown butter, and sprinkles) and 6 filled doughnuts (chocolate velvet, cold brew coffee, pecan, fruity pebbles, tropical cheescake, and a "dagel"). The dagel was unique as it was advertised as a "everything bagel but in donut form". I ordered 4 filled doughnuts (cold brew, choc velvet, cheesecake and fruity pebbles) and 2 glazed (salted brown butter and sprinkles) . All were absolutely delicious. My family raved about the cold brew and chocolate velvet. My personal favorites were the cheescake and salted brown butter. Come early as they close once they are sold out. For reference I came at 9a on Saturday and they already sold out of the chocolate glazed. The staff are super friendly and they offer deals if you buy 6+. The specials change regularly so be sure to follow them on instagram to get updates. They also have updated information about allergies
